beads

I went into this semester wanting to attempt beads. They still need to be clear glazed. I do think it was a really good first try, but if I make more I would definitely try to make them more uniform in size and design. I would also try to make them smaller, which would be hard to do, but ultimately easier to make jewelry with, and lighter to wear.

thrown bowl

This bowl obviously isn't the best. It's thick, uneven, and has a weird foot. BUT, it was my first ever thrown piece, and I am really proud of it. I like how the glaze turned out as well. One thing making this really taught me, is that I do not like throwing with groggy clays.

pencil cup

sheep plate

There isn't much explination to this one. I was bored and making a slab cup. It turned out that around two days later, the pencil cup at our table fell and broke, so I tested one of the Jungle Jems glazes and gave it to the classroom.

I love love LOVE this plate, it turned out really cute. Its a slump mold painted with a farm scene that i altered from one I saw on pinterest. NO notes. Next time, I'd like to add an actual  foot.

mini toilet

soup cup

I made a small toilet around this size last year and someone decided to seal it, so I made it again. I wish that the lid of the basin was better alligned, but I do like the seat lid/cover because my old one didn't have that. I also used glaze to make it look like there's water in the bowl. I just like funky things, so this is now on my trinket shelf.

Yet another slab cup. I wanted a mug for soup. The base design is good, and the wording is cute. I should've added a handle. I wanted to try new midfire glazes I hadn't seen... worst decision ever, I hate it.

thrown cup/bowl

This is the first piece I successfully trimmed this year, with a glaze combination that I found on Pinterest. The cup itself turned out nice, aside from a small crack that happened in the first firing. The glaze combo isn't how I expected, but I think it was because the glazes were watery and there weren't enough layers.

basic rough pinch-pot

I had no plan what so ever for this. I was bored and used my time to make a pinch pot. I wanted a rough, uneven look. The only issue with it is that I debated on how to glaze it for like three months. I ended up painting it green with holly on it for the holidays. It's a dip bowl.

thrown stuff

Just a few things that I threw. Trimming is still uneven, but I don't mind. I tried a more closed-form, a bowl, and a couple cups. only one of the cups survived trimming, and it turned out adorable. I gifted it to my grandma! I like how a lot of this glazing turned out as well, since I mainly am just experimenting with the colors and combinations.

bread dipping plate

On the positive side, I like the glaze combo I used. This is just a little slab plate that was originally supposed to be a garlic grater, but it decided to not be sharp AT ALL. I need to find a way to put an even foot on slab pieces.

thrown stuff

These are some bowls I did. One of them trimmed weirdly, and I accidentally used a satin glaze, which I do like, but it isn't my favorite. One of these bowls made me realize that iron lustre and arctic blue is a really cute combo, I'm putting it on a future big piece.

thrown cup

This cup was hypothetically going to be adorable. it threw well, had a good foot, perfect trimming. I was so proud of it. And then I glazed it with a celadon glaze, which was a huge mistake on my end. It didn't end up with the look I was going for at all, but it's okay and I'll stick to what I know I like next time I make a perfect piece.

thrown bowl

disco bowl

STILL IN PROGRESS!!!! should be cute, since the glaze combination is one I've tried. It's uneven, though.

Premade bowl that I painted with colorful squares. Next time: no blue rim. I would like to have done more even squares. I actually sold this piece at a craft fair to a lady who really loved it, so I'm glad it wasn't a waste of time. This pattern is so cute, just a huge pain in the butt.

apple set

CUTE CUTE CUTE. They remind me of a farmers market. More premade stuff that I painted, got inspiration in passing on tiktok and went from a distant memory of it. The glaze turned out even, which I couldn't be happier about! My mom loves that I put produce stickers on them. I made a golden apple bowl as well.

coil pitcher

Still in the glazing step. I'm doing arctic blue and iron lustre again. Thisis the first time I've used coils to actually construct something, I kind of hate it, but it's good for a first (actual) try.
